Quick Look: First Tactical Executive Briefcase

Adam Teeter

I purchased the First Tactical Executive Briefcase sometime ago because I was seeking a shoulder bag that could handle my laptop and my DSLR at the same time. The Executive Briefcase accomplishes this and more. The padded laptop compartment will handle at least a 15" MBP, the main compartment can handle a ton of camera gear (or any gear), the side water bottle pockets are implemented perfectly and uniquely and the dual zipper opening on the main compartment provides unparalleled access to the contents therein. This bag is clearly cousin to First Tactical messenger bag offerings I have previously reviewed, and the family traits will be evident below.

This is a bigger shoulder bag, so take that into consideration. I'd love to see this bag narrowed by 2"-3" to fit a 13" MBP more closely, but I recommend this without hesitation to anyone needing a fantastically organized laptop bag, briefcase or camera bag.

Note the strap for setting this on top of your roller bag. Also note that the zippers on the bottle pocket all almost completely up with 20oz bottle.

Looking into the CCW pocket on the rear here. That's an HK Plan D strapped in. This has the divider in it like the other CCW pockets from First Tactical.

13" MBP is swimming in that huge laptop sleeve! There are also two narrower padded sleeves that fit my Kindle Touch well.

These admin pockets have some depth to them; you can stow a pocket organizer in there or a small book!
